Adam Lambert’s "Aftermath" and The Trevor Project Posted: 16 Mar 2011 11:10 PM PDT On Thursday’s Top 13 results show, Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert performed an acoustic version of his song, “Aftermath.” When he was done performing, Adam caught up with Ryan Seacrest and mentioned that proceeds from the “Aftermath” (Remix by Billboard) track will be donated to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project helps prevent suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. On Adam’s official website he says that the song “was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners. I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be…and dance!” Adam’s “Aftermath” (Remix by Billboard) is now exclusively available on Adam’s Official Site. Portions of the profits will be donated to The Trevor Project plus you can get 10% off your next purchase at Adam’s store. After his Season 10 results show performance, Adam spoke with us about “Aftermath” and The Trevor Project. Watch this video to find out more from Adam: Catch up with Adam Lambert after the show

American Idol: Celebrating 10 Years Posted: 16 Mar 2011 11:10 PM PDT American Idol’s alumni have gone on to make platinum albums, win multiple Grammy Awards, star in Broadway musicals, and contribute theme songs to blockbuster movies. And with colorful commentary, the show’s panel of judges consistently provides fodder for water cooler discussions. Since it debuted in 2002, American Idol has been FOX’s #1 show for nine years running, and it has inspired a wave of wanna-be TV shows. But no other show generates the excitement, the controversy, and the sheer star power of American Idol. Jam-packed with rare photographs, Idol gossip, and enough trivia to satisfy even the most ardent fan, American Idol: Celebrating 10 Years (Abrams Image; March 2011; U.S. $22.95/Can. $27.95; ISBN: 978-0-8109-9830-8) is a fabulous tribute to this enduring phenomenon. The ultimate collector’s item, this lavishly illustrated volume is playfully designed as a yearbook, starting with Kelly Clarkson and the Class of 2002 (Season One) and covering highlights from each of the following seasons. Tracing the careers of each season’s winner, spotlighting major contenders like Jennifer Hudson, and revealing, in their own words, the judges’ uncannily accurate first impressions of the contestants, American Idol: Celebrating 10 Years reveals the unique blend of glitz, grit, emotion, humor, and raw talent that has inspired over three billion votes to date. With rare access to past and present contestants, judges, and insider information on the show’s 10-year run, author Shirley Halperin conveys the heart and soul of American Idol, supplemented by over 700 of full-color photographs.
