According to the band’s website, Adalynn Rose weighs 6 pounds and 5 ounces and was born first at 11:06 AM EDT; Noah James weighs 5 pounds and 5 ounces and was born second at 11:25 AM EDT. “Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God,” Chris said on his website. “The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.” Deanna tweeted, “I am so thankful for our precious gifts from God! Crystal Bowersox’s Debut Album Posted: 20 Nov 2010 11:46 PM PST Season 9′s top girl, Crystal Bowersox, announced her debut album. She was signed to 19 Recordings/Jive Records in June, and the result is Farmer’s Daughter, which will be available in stores and online on December 14, 2010. Farmer’s Daughter features 8 songs written by Crystal, including “Holy Toledo”, the original song she performed on Idol during her hometown visit. The album also includes two co-writes, an additional track written by one of Crystal’s Idol judges, Kara DioGuardi, and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, an amazing Buffalo Springfield Cover, and the very special “Mason”, written by Crystal and her husband Brian Walker. Bo Bice to Make His Opry Debut Posted: 19 Nov 2010 03:46 PM PST Season 4 runner-up Bo Bice will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, December 4th at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. He will perform at 7pm and 9:30pm. Just 10 days later, Season 8′s Danny Gokey will take the Ryman stage for a Grand Ole Opry performance at 7pm along with Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio, and Mel McCoury. Bo released a new album called 3 in May 2010; read more about his third record. Danny Gokey has performed at the Opry before, and during his season on American Idol, he sang Carrie Underwood‘s “Jesus, Take The Wheel” for Grand Ole Opry Week. Posted: 16 Nov 2010 11:45 PM PST Season 5 finalist Ace Young celebrates his 30th birthday today! Ace has done a variety of work in entertainment since his time on American Idol. On October 20, 2006, he released his first single “Scattered,” a digital download. In 2008, Ace released his self-titled CD which included the hit “Addicted.” The song charted on the Billboard Pop 100, where it peaked at #77. Ace co-wrote seven of the eleven tracks on the album. The seventh place finalist received a Grammy Award nomination in 2007 for “Best Rock Song” because of his songwriting credit on Daughtry’s debut album for “It’s Not Over.” Ace and Chris Daughtry met during Season 5 auditions in Denver and were roommates on the show. They instantly became best friends. Ace and his fans started a fan-based charity project, Highrollers with Heart. The project raised money in Ace’s name for the new Family Hospitality suite at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In January 2008, Ace was named a Celebrity Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). He assists the charity with events and raising awareness for neuromuscular diseases. Ace performed on the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon August 31 and September 1, 2009 live from Las Vegas. He also co-hosted several segments of the live television broadcast. This week in Idol history, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Kris Allen, and Jordin Sparks released their post-Idol albums, and Lee DeWyze joins this talented group now with his release of Live It Up. On November 15, 2005, Carrie Underwood released her debut album, Some Hearts. The album has been certified platinum an amazing seven times by the RIAA. It was not only the number one selling album of the year, it also became the best selling debut album by a solo female country music artist in history and the best selling album by an American Idol alumnus. Some Hearts won every award it was nominated for at the ACMs, Billboard Music Awards, and the AMAs. November 16th has always been a big day for Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken. The day marked his first American Music Award win in 2003. Ryan Seacrest Foundation’s THE VOICE Posted: 06 Nov 2010 09:37 AM PDT American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is spearheading a great new philanthropic effort in Atlanta, Georgia that involves creating a new broadcast media center for patients called THE VOICESM at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Ryan will return home to Atlanta today and tomorrow (November 5th and 6th) with a charitable bang. The Atlanta native recently launched the Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF), and its first initiative is to build broadcast media centers within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. Ryan will unveil the first center today, Friday, November 5, 2010, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and it will be named THE VOICESM. The EP is titled Heart of Me and it will consist of six original songs. Tim will be releasing one song a day starting this Monday, November 8th. Heart of Me was independently produced and it conveys Tim’s soft rock style.
