ASUS Smartbook, Will be Exist as “The Netbook” Alternative? Posted: 03 Nov 2009 03:06 AM PST Recently, Asus owner, Jerry Shen, has confirmed that smartbook device will be launched in first quarter of 2010, with a fairly cheap price of about USD184. He said Smartbook category has growth potential and high volume, and this is the reason for ASUS to make Smartbook as ’secret weapon’, in addition to the Eee PC (netbook class). But anyway, smartbook still have to try harder to get a better market in the world. It was common knowledge, that innovation, price and competitive speed from ASUS will be the key that will be accepted in many manufacturing in the world. Smartbook, eBook, or others tablet products has become the subject of internal innovation and brainstorming committee that will run in the next 6 months with the direction and purpose to show smartbook devices in the event of CeBIT and Computex 2010. As a plan, ASUS smartbook will be featured with Snapdragon processor 1GHz, Android operating system, and internet browser. According to Shen’s thought, the basic idea of making smartbook device is to create a highly portable device with multiple connectivity network and of course the cheaper price than netbook device. We all are waiting to see its first appearance. |
