Happy Birthday, Anthony Fedorov! Posted: 05 May 2011 01:36 AM PDT Season 4′s fourth place finalist, Anthony Fedorov, celebrates his birthday today. Anthony has had a very busy start to 2011. In February, Anthony was in Japan starring as Joseph in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was in Tokyo during the devastating earthquake, but, in an exclusive interview, he only had positive things to say about Japan and the Japanese. On April 15th, Anthony reprised his role as Prince Christopher in the one-night-only production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The play supported Steven Curtis Chapman’s Show Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing individuals and communities to care for orphans and reducing the financial barriers to adoption. Two days ago, Anthony took part in the Sarcoma Foundation of America’s 10th Anniversary Gala. He hung out with Casey Abrams and helped raise $1 Million for the cause. Currently, Anthony is finishing up is EP called Never Over. To promote the album and talk about his experience creating it, his time in Japan, and more, Anthony has been hosting live chats via Ustream. Happy Birthday, Anthony! |
Casey Abrams’ Surprise Performance at the SFA Gala Posted: 05 May 2011 01:36 AM PDT Season 10′s most recently eliminated finalist, Casey Abrams, surprised guests of the Sarcoma Foundation of America 10th Anniversary Gala with an impromptu performance at Cipriani’s in NYC on Monday night. He performed two songs: “Cry Me A River” by Ella Fitzgerald and “Heard it through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye. Also in attendance was Season 4′s Anthony Fedorov, whose brother Denis passed away from the disease. Anthony became a national spokesperson for the Sarcoma Foundation of America and was appointed to the SFA Board of Directors. He has been performing at the SFA Annual Gala every year since 2007. The SFA raised over $1 Million at this year’s gala, which will help fund Sarcoma (rare cancer) research grants in hopes of “finding a cure in our time.” View photos of Casey and Anthony from the 10th Annual SFA Gala. |
