His original song “Christmas Angel” jumped 31 points on the AC Indie charts this week and is one of the top holiday indie singles of 2010. He is excited about the success of the song and remembers the simple thought that led to its creation: “Every year at Christmas time, our family would always put an angel on top of the tree,” he recalls. “I started thinking about it…no matter how many ornaments you hang on the branches, nothing outshines the angel on top. Just like the tree wouldn’t be complete without the angel, I know my Christmas wouldn’t be complete without the angel in my life.” The full Christmas Angel EP is available on iTunes or at ScottMacIntyre.com and it also features Scott’s unique arrangements of other holiday classics. The Arizona native released his first full post-Idol album, Heartstrings, in March. On the album’s release day, Scott returned to the Idol stage and performed with fellow Season 8 finalist Matt Giraud.
