| Kimberley Locke & Michael Johns to Perform at Benefit Posted: 17 Nov 2009 04:48 PM PST American Idol Season 2 finalist Kimberley Locke and Season 7 finalist Michael Johns will perform at the Holiday of Hope benefit to raise money for disadvantaged children across the country on Saturday, November 28. The event will take place in Los Angeles and guests are invited to support One Heartland, an organization committed to improving the lives of children impacted by HIV/AIDS, by attending a private pre-reception with ticket prices starting at $50 or through sponsorship of one of the 30,000 lights on the 35-foot high Holiday Tree. The pre-reception includes a private performance and meet-and-greet with Kimberley and Michael among other musical guests. Tickets for the entire family are on sale now at www.oneheartland.org or by calling 1-800-724-HOPE (4673). Kimberley and Michael will also entertain the guests who come out to Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles for the lighting of the Holiday Tree in Central Courtyard. Kids are invited to get creative by decorating an ornament, button, or holiday cookie at the Ralphs Decoration Station.Delicious holiday treats including hot cocoa and coffee will be served along with goodies provided by Lifeway Foods. | All-New Kris Allen Video Interview Posted: 17 Nov 2009 04:48 PM PST AmericanIdol.com caught up with Kris Allen recently. The reigning American Idol is releasing his self-titled album tomorrow. To promote the record, Kris has been traveling around the country and performing on morning and late night talk shows. Last week, Kris helped announce the Peoples Choice Awards nominations, and he was nominated too! When we met with Kris, we asked him MyIdol users questions. | Bucky Covington, Live From Rockingham Posted: 17 Nov 2009 04:48 PM PST Season 5 finalist Bucky Covington is gearing up to release Live From Rockingham, a 5-song digital exclusive EP recorded at his recent hometown concert in Rockingham, NC. Hitting the virtual realm on November 17, the release features live versions of Bucky’s Top 10 hits “A Different World,” “It’s Good To Be Us,” and “I’ll Walk.” The EP will also include his brand new single “Gotta Be Somebody” as well as a special preview of “Mexicoma” from his much anticipated sophomore album.Also packaged with these tracks is Bucky’s latest music video for “Gotta Be Somebody,” spotlighting the crowd of over 6,000 fans, friends, and Rockingham locals who attended Bucky’s homecoming festivities. Recently, Bucky released to radio his brand new single “Gotta Be Somebody,” his country style version of Nickelback’s No. 1 hit, written by band members Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake, along with co-producer Joey Moi. Currently climbing the country charts, this song is from his upcoming sophomore album, I’m Alright, to hit streets in spring 2010. We caught up with Bucky earlier this year. Read the full interview.

| Posted: 17 Nov 2009 04:48 PM PST Season 5 finalist Ace Young has done a variety of work in entertainment since his time on American Idol. On October 20, 2006, he released his first single “Scattered,” a digital download. In 2008, Ace released his self-titled CD which included the hit Addicted. The song charted on the Billboard Pop 100, where it peaked at #77. Ace co-wrote seven of the eleven tracks on the album. Ace received a Grammy Award nomination in 2007 for Best Rock Song because of his songwriting credit on Daughtrys debut album for Its Not Over. Ace and Chris Daughtry met during Season 5 auditions in Denver and were roommates on the show. They instantly became best friends. Ace and his fans started a fan-based charity project, Highrollers with Heart. The project raised money in Aces name for the new Family Hospitality suite at The Childrens Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In January 2008, Ace was named a Celebrity Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). He assists the charity with events and raising awareness for neuromuscular diseases. Ace performed on the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon August 31 and September 1, 2009 live from Las Vegas. He also co-hosted several segments of the live television broadcast.
