A Few Things You Should Consider Before Buying a Hard Drive

I have an experience about a hard disk drive device. As we’ve known together, hard disk drive is the one of most important hardware component for a computer, whether that’s a PC, laptop, netbook, Mac, tablet PC, etc. You should consider that after the mainboard and processor, next is hard disk as the most important component. Without it, any data you will have, including operating system, can’t be stored. Also, to prevent loss of data, then the hard disk should also have a warranty period, if at any time be damaged.

I think, a longer warranty period is better, ask the store / shop where you bought it. And the next is the common knowledge. Brand name, which you will prefer? Samsung, Fujitsu, Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital, or more? Of course, next is the hard disk drive capacity. Greater capacity is better? More precisely is customized to your needs. 80GB, 160GB, 250GB, 500GB or 1TeraByte. Think 2 times before buying a used, once it gets damaged, you risk losing important data.

Then the next is its speed. 5400RPM or 7200RPM. Usually that I know, 5400rpm is dedicated for notebook / laptop / netbook, while 7200rpm is used for PC desktop. Pay attention to connector, of course SATA faster than PATA. SATA cables are also more compact, small and simple compared to PATA. And the last is about the price. You must have known that the greater the capacity, the more expensive price. Adjust to your needs. Good luck!
