Posted: 28 Oct 2009 08:06 PM PDT

Season 1 runner-up Justin Guarini has been very busy lately. Last week, Justin performed and acted as the emcee for Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) Fourth Annual Benefit Gala. At the event, Justin also met with young music students and fans to give a private concert and inspire them to keep doing what they love. Read more about the event.

Last month, Justin married Reina Capodici, who he had known since high school, and became a step-father to Reinas daughter, Lola. The intimate family wedding was held next to the Delaware River and was a spiritual service.

Justin occupies much of his time with hosting duties. In September, Justin covered the red carpet for TV Guide Channels Emmy Awards coverage. Since 2007, Justin has served as the co-host for Idol Tonight and Idol Wrap.

In addition to hosting, singing, writing, blogging, and acting, Justin has now turned to comedy. Hes been doing a sketch comedy show for www.sketchedouttv.com, and this winter, Justin goes back into the studio to write and record his third CD.

This summer, Justin traveled to Orlando to interview Season 9 hopefuls that were auditioning for American Idol. Watch the video clip.

Adam Lambert knows the cover of his new album is ‘ridiculous’

Posted: 28 Oct 2009 08:06 PM PDT

Adam Lambert album cover

One of my Twitter friends compared the just-released image of Adam Lambert’s new album cover to a Lisa Frank trapper keeper she owned as a child. Another asked, “Is this 1984? Duran Duran meets Prince meets Joan Collins.”

Me? I thought to myself that I’m all for the androgynous look but here Lambert has been airbrushed into a straight-up girl. I kept asking, “Why?”

Lambert took to his Twitter this morning — just hours after the image hit the Web — to clear things up:

Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album
cover is deliberately campy. It's an homage to the past. It IS
ridiculous.

For those that don't get it: oh
well… Glad to have gotten your attention.

Androgyny.
Rock n Roll.

What do you think? Is it camp-tastic? Or did he not go far enough? Could we also have used a unicorn and more fluorescent pink? Vote now!
