Nikki McKibbin, the third place finalist from the first season of American Idol, is celebrating a birthday today. While on American Idol, the Texas native infused her edgy rocker style into her performances.

In 2007, Nikki released her first album, Unleashed. To promote the CD, she toured with Texas heavy metal band Rivethead. This year, Nikki released two singles, “Here to There” and “Inconsolable.” On May 18, 2009, Nikki walked the red carpet at the Season 8 Idol finale. During the spring and summer of this year, Nikki toured with Idol alumni Haley Scarnato, RJ Helton, Jasmine Trias, and Amy Davis. Together they performed shows in Nevada and on a cruise ship. On December 5, 2009, Nikki will perform at The Lincoln Theatre in Yountville, CA.
