Happy Birthday, Megan Joy! Posted: 20 Sep 2009 01:21 AM PDT Season 8 finalist Megan Joy finished touring the country with her fellow Top 10 finalists just a few days ago. Now that the tour is over, Megan is looking into acting and modeling, in addition to singing, for her future. While on American Idol, Megan developed a trademark twisty dance. After performing “Rockin’ Robin,” Megan shouted, “Caw Caw!” which has now become her trademark as well. She even performed the twisty dance and cawed during the American Idols LIVE! 2009 tour. During Grand Ole Opry week, Megan was so sick with the flu that she was hooked up to an IV just minutes before taking the stage. Despite being so ill, Megan pulled off a great rendition of Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight.” All four judges were extremely impressed with Megan’s performance and Simon Cowell even said, “You should have the flu every week!” Towards the end of the Idol tour, Megan chopped off her signature long blonde locks and sported a ‘fro during some of the concerts.
