“Stella: Live in Boston” DVD Review Posted: 17 Sep 2009 02:34 PM PDT
Before I received a review copy of “Stella: Live in Boston,” I had pretty much no experience with Stella or any of its members (I only knew Michael Ian Black from his great role as a gay demon on “Reaper”). I knew the group’s series “Stella” was a cult hit but I never got around to watching it. If “Stella: Live in Boston” is any indication, the comedy group is one you either love or hate. Surprisingly, even though the comedy is full of bad language and mature jokes I normally don’t like, I actually fell into the “love it” category. “Harper’s Island: The DVD Edition” DVD Review Posted: 17 Sep 2009 09:08 AM PDT
CBS usually isn’t known for anything but their crime dramas so I was excited when they announced a fun new murder mystery show. I was a fan of the reality series “Murder in Small Town X” and I figured this would be very similar, just completely scripted. Overall, I did enjoy “Harper’s Island” quite a bit but a few boring episodes bring the show down to the “above average” level instead of the “must-watch” category. What I’ll Be Watching This Fall: Thursday Posted: 17 Sep 2009 03:02 AM PDT Watch Live:
Watch Online or Off Tape:
Thursday is the night packed with the most great shows. There’s so much that I might not even get to decent shows like “The Vampire Diaries,” “Bones,” and “The Office” until the weekend. Since I’m a big sci-fi fan, it should be no surprise to see “Flash Forward” and “Fringe” as my 7 and 8 o’clock shows. I was a little disappointed by the “Flash Forward” pilot but only because it isn’t nearly as good as the first episode of “Lost.” “Fringe” got better and better each week last season and its become one of the shows I’m most anticipating. 19 seasons in and I still love “Survivor” enough to make it my first show off tape. The next few shows (”Grey’s Anatomy,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Community” and “Supernatural”) will probably differ in order based on my mood but on any other night, they would likely be shows I watch live. © Mort for The TV Legion, 2009. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |

America’s Got Talent Season Four Finale (September 16th, 2009) Posted: 16 Sep 2009 08:05 PM PDT After months of auditions and eliminations it’s the fourth season finale on America’s Got Talent. Only one out of the first three finals actually was satisfying so I wasn’t expecting much out of tonight’s finale and boy was I not disappointed. After the break find out who won and why I thought this was the worst finale in America’s Got Talent history. (...) © Mort for The TV Legion, 2009. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
