Press Call with Amelia, Janelle, and Dareian

Posted: 22 Aug 2012 10:07 PM PDT

Eliminated dancers Dareian, Janelle, Amelia, and Matthew

The morning after their So You Think You Can Dance elimination, Amelia Lowe, Janelle Issis, and Dareian Kujawa hopped on the phone with press to talk about their journey on the show and their plans moving forward. See what they had to say about working with Mia, their future plans, and more.

What was it like working with Mia Michaels?

Amelia – We only had a short time working with her before during the Top 20 group dance. Getting to work with Mia again was great. I'm honored to work with her so closely.

Dareian – She's so amazing and I'm happy that I got the chance to work with her one-on-one. When she choreographs, her process is so amazing and she really brings something out of you – that fire.

If you could have danced any other Mia routine, which would you pick?

Amelia – I wouldn't have picked a different one. The one I was given was perfect for me and I felt the most comfortable with it.

Janelle – I wouldn't change mine either, but I would love to do the butt piece. It looks like so much fun. Dareian and I never really got to play a character.

Dareian – I second Janelle. It would've been really fun to do the butt piece. It's so playful, really physical, and the characters are funny. The be was a really good fit for me though.

If there could be a night dedicated to another So You Think You Can Dance choreographer, who do you think it should be?

Dareian – Travis Wall. Everybody is so amazing, but he's one of my favorites and I would have wanted to work with him.

Janelle – I agree. Travis Wall has an enormous body of work. It's amazing to see how far he's come since he was a contestant on Season 2.

Who were their favorite choreographers to work with?

Amelia – It's a toss-up because each choreographer is just so different, but one of the funnest was NappyTabs the first week. They're a riot to be around, but you still get so much work done.

Janelle – It is hard to pick because each choreographer brought something different. Sonya Tayeh and Sean Cheesman each went for blood with us. Pasha was funny to work with. Mia was a lot of fun, and it was a little surprising because we were a little afraid of her.

Dareian – When I went into the show I thought of it not as a competition but as an opportunity to grow as a person and dancer. I worked really hard to get something out of each choreographer. Sonya kicks your butt and her work ethic is amazing. Pasha's style is so amazing and he's such a man when he dances so I tried to take that away. NappyTabs is sick; their group number was amazing.

What's next for the dancers?
Amelia – I'm looking to kind of branch out and go into movies. Acting in film would be exciting for me. When I get home I'm going to enroll in acting classes.

Janelle – So many doors have been opening. The belly dance community is rather large and I love to teach so that's something I would want to do. Or maybe even have my own belly dancing cooking show, or do some modeling or acting.

Dareian – I am considering moving out to LA now that I've been on the show which is a huge advertisement for a dancer. I've tried the Vegas scene, but I feel there's so much more commercial dance in LA. I'd love to do some singing, acting, dancing, and underwear modeling.

Top 14 Results and Top 10 Week

Posted: 22 Aug 2012 10:07 PM PDT

We said goodbye to Janelle, Dareian, Amelia, and Matthew.

On Wednesday night, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE paid tribute to Emmy Award winner Mia Michaels, with the seven couples performing a selection of her greatest SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE routines. The Top 14 also performed an all-new group routine choreographed by Michaels

After America's vote was revealed, Matthew Kazmierczak, Dareian Kujawa, George Lawrence II, Lindsay Arnold, Janelle Issis and Amelia Lowe were the three guys and three girls who received the fewest votes. After deliberating, the judges – Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest judges Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt (the Ballet Boyz) – saved Lindsay Arnold and George Lawrence II from elimination. Therefore, Matthew Kazmierczak, Dareian Kujawa, Janelle Issis and Amelia Lowe were sent home.

It was also announced that fans can see the Top 10 finalists on tour this fall. The tour kicks off in San Diego, CA, Tuesday, Oct. 23 and tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 24.  More details can be found here.

Next week, on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 8/7c, the competition continues on another two-hour show, when the Top 10 finalists – Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, Audrey Case, Eliana Girard, Cole Horibe, George Lawrence II, Tiffany Maher, Cyrus Spencer, Will Thomas and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp – will be paired up with All-Star partners. Additionally, French ballet dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied, who is best known for starring in and choreographing "Black Swan," will guest-judge and the L.A. Emily Maynard Says Cheating Rumors Are ’100% Not True’

Posted: 22 Aug 2012 10:07 PM PDT

“The Bacherlorette” star Emily Maynard and fiancé Jef Holm shot down allegations Emily strayed from the relationship.

“It’s one hundred percent not true,” Maynard told People.com.

The tabloid reports said that last weekend the two had a big fight while they were on vacation with Holm’s family in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and that Holm asked her to leave.

“It’s funny to me,” Holm said. “We were in a gated community in a private home with just my brothers and sisters. It’s just bogus a ‘source’ would [say] we were fighting. None of that is true.”

The couple are now back in Charlotte, where Holm has been searching for a place to live so he can be closer to Emily and her daughter Ricki, 7.

Maynard added, “I have never been more in love or felt more confident about our relationship. We’re so excited about the future and to be back in Charlotte and things are actually happening – looking at places to live and going to school. I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”

Can Louis Litt be bought?

We’ll find out on Suits‘ midseason finale Thursday (10/9c, USA) when he casts his vote for Pearson Hardman’s managing partner. Hardman (David Costabile) has been wooing Louis (Rick Hoffman) with the attention he’s never received from Jessica (Gina Torres) and, oh, just a senior partnership, but the former metal mouth still has the chance to do the right thing and check off Jessica’s name.

Louis’ vote — is his the one that tips the scales? — and the results will be revealed on the finale, but here are seven more things you can expect.

Question: Any thoughts on this season of So You Think You Can Dance? The format change and unfortunate interruptions this year from Independence Day and the Summer Olympics have forced multiple eliminations in some episodes to keep them on schedule, and we’ve lost a few promising contestants that I feel may have been cut too early on. How are you finding this season so far? — Brodie
