David Hernandez and Gina Glocksen Star in "Ballroom With A Twist"

Posted: 02 Feb 2011 08:38 AM PST

Two talented American Idol finalists, Season 7′s David Hernandez and Season 6′s Gina Glocksen, currently star as the only singers in the touring production of “Ballroom With A Twist.” The show, created by So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Louis Van Amstel, features popular dancers performing ballroom and ballroom-fusion dances to live musical performances by David and Gina, as well as some popular music tracks. David has been involved with the show for over a year, traveling around Canada and the United States. Prior to Gina, Season 2′s Trenyce and Season 4′s Vonzell Solomon co-starred with David on stage. David and Gina have toured together before in two other shows: “American Stars in Concert for the Holidays” and “The American Stars in Concert 2009.” They don’t just sing, David and Gina aren’t afraid to shake their hips while they sing, and I’ll warn you-there may be some audience participation involved!

David Hernandez performs:
“Feeling Good” by Michael Buble arrangement
“Walking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn
“Imagine” by John Lennon
“Zoot Suit Riot” by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies

Gina Glocksen performs:
“Gravity” by Sara Bareilles
“Havana” by Linda Eder

David and Gina duets:
“Without Love” from Hairspray
“The Prayer” by Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli

“Ballroom With A Twist” is currently at North Hollywood’s El Portal Theatre through … read more
