Grammy Nominations for Fantasia, Carrie, and Adam

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards nominations were presented Wednesday night in a live broadcast. American Idol’s own Adam Lambert, Fantasia, and Carrie Underwood all received nominations.

Here are the Idol nominees:

Best Male Pop Vocal Performance
Adam Lambert
“Whataya Want From Me”

Best Female R&B Vocal Performance
Fantasia
“Bittersweet”

Best R&B Song

Best R&B Album

Carrie Underwood‘s “Temporary Home”

In the Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical category, Adam Lambert’s album received some honors:
-Rob Cavallo for 8 tracks including Adam Lambert’s “Music Again,” “Soaked,” “Sure Fire Winners,” and “Time for Miracles.”
-Dr. Luke for 8 tracks including Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment.”

Luke Edgemon: From Idol to Glee

Luke Edgemon‘s name may sound familiar to you. He auditioned for American Idol several times before, and last season he made it all the way to Hollywood Week.

Now, Luke will appear on another FOX show…Glee! Luke was cast as one of the members of the Dalton High School Warblers-the glee club where main character Kurt (Chris Colfer) is now a member.

After auditioning for American Idol, Luke moved to Los Angeles to continue to pursue music. He still talks to Lacey Brown, Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, and other Idol alumni.
