| Siobhan Magnus to Perform at Fall Festival Posted: 02 Oct 2010 12:14 PM PDT What better way for Siobhan Magnus to be celebrated in her hometown of Cape Cod, Massachusetts than by becoming the Grand Marshal for the March of the Horribles parade?! CapeCodOnline.com reports that on October 17th, the zombie-loving Season 9 finalist will lead the parade down Main Street at 2pm and then perform at the Hyannis Village Green. Siobhan is scheduled to perform with her fathers band and with her own band, Lunar Valve. The sixth place finalists loyal fans remain active in Siobhans MyIdol forum. Join the discussion!

The Season 5 finalist was safe every week of the competition until her Top 9 Country Week elimination, and she has continued to be successful after Idol. Mandisas debut album, True Beauty, was released in 2007 and debuted at #1 on Billboards Top Christian Albums and earned her a Grammy nomination for Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year. She released a holiday album entitled Its Christmas in 2008, and in 2009 she released Freedom, which earned Mandisa her second Grammy nomination. Mandisa has also written a book, IdolEyes, and earned a handful of Dove Award nominations. Currently, Mandisa is recording a new album titled What if We Were Real, and she has been touring the country with Women of Faith. Happy Birthday, Mandisa! | Posted: 02 Oct 2010 12:14 PM PDT Season 8 finalist Jorge Nuez turns 23 years old today. American Idol traveled to Puerto Rico for the very first time to audition hopefuls for Season 8. Their search turned up Jorge, the only contestant from Puerto Rico to make the Top 13. Originally, Jorge’s grandfather was going to send Jorge to the states to audition for American Idol, but he passed away the December before auditions. Since he was unable to pay for his own trip, Jorge felt blessed when Idol traveled to Puerto Rico for auditions. For Jorge’s semi-final round performance, he sang Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” and received positive reviews from the four judges. Hearing such praise made Jorge cry, and when Jorge gets emotional, he speaks in Spanish, and he did just that on the Idol stage. Ultimately, it was the Top 13′s double elimination week that sent him packing. Jorge was optimistic about his journey and said this is “just the start of something much bigger.” Happy Birthday, Jorge! Take a look at Jorge’s photo gallery.
