More Teen Choice Awards Nominations

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards nominations have added a second wave of categories and nominees including Choice American Idol Alum. David Archuleta is scheduled to appear on the August 9th broadcast, and additional performers, presenters, and nominees will be announced soon. Teens between the ages of 13-19 may vote for their favorites at www.teenchoiceawards.com. You can vote every day! Then, watch FOX on Monday, August 9 to see if American Idol and our alumni catch a wave with a Teen Choice 2010 surfboard.

Lee’s and Crystal’s Recent TV Appearance

Season 9s Top 2 finalists, Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox, recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Crystal performed Whats Up by 4 Non Blondes with her acoustic guitar and she got to reunite with her Season 9 band leader, Rickey Minor, who now heads up The Tonight Show Band. American Idol Lee also performed a song he hadnt played on the show, Rocket Man, by Elton John. He changed up the song and made it his own, and he was also back up by Rickey.

See Jackie Tohn at Hotel Café

Season 8 semi-finalist Jackie Tohn is performing at Hotel Caf in Los Angeles on Monday, June 21st. The LJAM Music Concert Series at Hotel Caf begins at 7:30pm, and artists Jonathan Clay and Samantha Mollen will also perform. At 8:45pm, Jackie will take the stage and jam out.

Fantasia’s New Album

Season 3s American Idol, Fantasia, performed her new single, Bittersweet, on the Season 9 Top 4 results show. After she sang, Fantasia revealed some long awaited newsthe release of her new album! The songbird has officially announced on her website that the new album, Back To Me, will hit shelves on July 27, 2010.

Fantasia provided fans a sneak peek into the recording process of this third album on her hit reality show, Fantasia For Real. The new album is an emotionally charged record which features a sole guest appearance by Cee-Lo Green and songs written and/or produced by Ne-Yo, Claude Kelly, Chuck Harmony Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, KP & Malay. Also available for the first time as a bonus track is Im Here, Fantasias signature song from her acting role as Celie in the Broadway play The Color Purple. Her first single off the album, Bittersweet, is currently #9 on the Urban Adult Airplay chart.

Comedian, actor and radio personality Steve Harvey also became involved in the album process by coming up with the album title after a recent radio interview with the songstress. Steve Harvey suggested the album title and it describes perfectly where I am in my life right now, states Fantasia. Happy Birthday, Lisa Tucker!

Little Lisa Tucker is all grown up. The Season 5 singer turned 21 years old on June 13. The Lion King alum was only 16 years old when she appeared on American Idol. While on the show, Lisa found success with songs by Jennifer Holliday, The Jackson 5, and Tiffany Taylor. She made it all the way to tenth place, so she got to spend the summer touring the nation with the rest of the Top 10 Idols, where she impressed fans with her guitar and piano skills.

Since appearing American Idol, Lisa has found success as a TV actress, with recurring roles on Zoey 101 and The Game. In addition, she has been working on her music under R&B star Ne-Yo and his production team.
