Episode Synopsis: Will thinks the glee club desperately needs more of an edge, so he brings in his former classmate, April Rhodes (guest star Kristin Chenoweth), to spice things up. Recently, ABC brought the hit British crime drama “Life on Mars” to America with a good but short-lived remake. If you have read a lot of my reviews, you know my feelings about most U.S. crime dramas. I think most are completely unoriginal and repeat storylines that other shows have already done. I liked the American “Life on Mars” quite a bit, mainly because it has a new twist on the genre and even has a sci-fi element to the show. I received a DVD of the first season of the U.K. series for review and have to say that its even better than the American show. The stories of both are very, very similar but there are probably enough differences to make watching both worthwhile.
